Key features of resin joints

High electrical insulation : Resin resins have very high electrical resistance and can act as insulators against electrical currents.

High mechanical resistance : these joints are resistant to mechanical pressure and impact.

Waterproof: Splicing Kit joints are designed to be resistant to water penetration and can be used in environments.

Compact dimensions: These joints are usually small in size and easy to install.

Some joints have transparent molds that provide the possibility to check the joints before resin pouring.

Preferred applications of resins

Cathodic protection systems: are used in cathodic protection systems to prevent cable corrosion.

Underground cable joints: due to high resistance to moisture and water, these joints are suitable for underground cables.

Marine cabling systems: can be used in harsh marine conditions that require resistance to salt water and high water pressure.

Cathodic protection is an effective method to prevent corrosion of metal installations that are located in underground or underwater environments.

This method, by applying an external electric current or using sacrificial anodes, turns the anodic areas into cathodes and, as a result, stops or greatly reduces corrosion. Corrosion-protected systems perform better and require fewer replacements
